The Mangy Detective

Snowball is the son of a humble museum curator and Bastet, the Egyptian cat goddess. He's also a lazy P.I. with an insatiable libido and a habit of crossing ethical boundaries with his clients. Some would even say he's more gigolo than detective. That all changes when a client's wife turns up dead, and Snowball becomes the prime suspect in her murder. This means he must put aside chasing raccoons, taking naps in the middle of the afternoon, and hooking up with lonely cat-obsessed neighbors long enough to solve the case himself. In the process, he has to contend with angry skunks, slobbering dogs, bitter ex-lovers, and a sinister mob chef who bakes exotic animals into casseroles. Luckily, Snowball has nine lives.
