"The Man Who Painted Roses" - A great story of a great painter

Even 170 years on, Pierre-Joseph Redouté's works are so outstanding they almost don't need his signature. This biography dates to 1974, and is written in (what is certainly now) an old-fashioned style, which I nevertheless enjoyed immensely - for its personable/provincial quality.
