"The Man in the Corner Knows My Name and other writings", is the second fiction book self-published by Nathan L. Queener. Edited by Bernadette Queener, the short stories are designed to take the reader out of his/her existence and transport them into the story. For example, Igor, both the main character and title of the short story, is insane. It is obvious that Igor is insane, but the calm manner with which he tales his tale is somehow soothing. "Courage", on the other hand, is anyone story at any point in their life, because everyone has to overcome fear. "A Death in the Zoo", is a tragedy told through the eyes of the zoo inhabitants. The poems included are a sample of a complete book of poetry in the works. The essays at the end of the work, "We Are Kings", and "How to Assassinate Public Schools" are meant to be thought provoking and invite response.
