Montana is the Place to Be

The fronts piece of this book declares: "Eleven magnificent episodes of the West by one of the great novelists of the West". And from the New York Times, "Few men have known the West and its history as well as Ernest Haycox". Amen! To both statements! I find this volume an exceptional piece of literature, yes, literature; for it belongs with any other book called as such. Ernest Haycox's stories read like any so called "how brow" literature with an entertainment value underlined by something that not only puts you there in the action, but also convinces you of the reality of the piece. His characters ARE real. Buy this book. You won't be disappointed.
