The Mammoth Book of Mindbending Puzzles (The Mammoth Book Series) by Victor Serebriakoff Here is a very large collection of troublesome, tricky, tantalising & tortuous puzzles to mount one tough challenge for your grey cells. On each one, you are timed & awarded points for performance. To begin with, you are asked to complete a self-marked IQ test which is used to handicap for intelligence. Then, you are ready to tackle the puzzles a chapter at a time. Some are relatively simple, some will require lateral thinking, & on some, you will have to look out for surprises. Are you fit, are you ready, can you take up the ultimate IQ challenge? Frankly, I did not complete the series, which consists of 350 brilliant & original puzzles from the world's top MENSA puzzlemeister, but over the years I have always enjoyed 'playing' with the puzzles. I often use them as mental exercises during some weekends to loosen up my mind, especially after a hard week's work. This collection is also one of my favourites. I have also owned it since the mid-nineties.
