The FAB 10 + 2, a name itself from the 60's, becomes one of the tools to take us back to a time when things were not FAB in Vietnam. The writer does an interesting work with two themes, one which should have been and the other, should not. Vietnam should not have happened but 10 guys even though they are from all kinds of ethnic and racial backgrounds, working against a multitude of stereotypes, finding themselves in a demanding war and fight for survival, should emerge as a team and even friends. Ben Lattimore has made the possibility of the second more likely. His story is male all the way and blends the ethics of togetherness, training and dependability into a modern day lesson for teaching tolerance and diversity. The reader is entertained all the way and the unexpected keeps coming. A worthwhile read from a new writer with a great future.

this story is almost beleivable. as a matter or fact, it is rather heroic in a sense--the disdain for drugs is amplified with there total distruction and the proceeds going for charitable programs. I really liked the way he developed his characters, issues, problems, solutions and conclusions. I would buy more of his works if they follow the same kind of scenario

I think the book is a fascinating story of commarderie, trust and loyalty. It is filled with thrilling moments that focus on the war in Vietnam and an ensuing drug war in the streets. This guy has a winner on his hands!
