Miranda Lee is a favorite of mine; she did a great job with this tale! A true and realistic reflection of the distress that miscommunication in a marriage can cause; the anger and vulnerability it can illicit. Scott and Sarah McAllister are characters this reader related to. Explanations of behavioral tendencies and past experiences are outlined as necessary to describe the characters actions- without excessive emphasis on childhood or past experiences that have colored their approaches to life. The novel is not drawn out or mundane. It's not so descriptive that the reader finds circumstances and characters mundane- or boring. It was a gripping story- held my interest. Stresses the importance of trust- in a marriage and in one's self. Encourages one to trust emotions their heart knows to be true. Provides an excellent example that people outside one's marriage can harbor ill intent and display a certain ruthlessness in attempting to sour a relationship- for personal gain. Scott and Sarah were remarkable characters- journeys of self discovery, personal growth, changing life goals and values were intriguing and much admired. I highly recommend this book- and look forward to the next story in this "Marrying A Tycoon" series- "The Tycoon's Outrageous Proposal".
