If you can afford only one book, buy this one only

This is an excellent book full of interesting cake decorating ideas. I loved that this book mostly focused on buttercreams. The cakes are arranged by occasions or themes. The book showed how to do 3D cakes as well as beautiful 3 tire wedding cakes. All with helpful tips and illustrations. Every cake has a finished picture in full color. Some of the tips offered in this book I didn't find it anywhere else. For example, how to make a heart shaped cake when you don't have a heart pan (you'll need 1 squire and 1 round pan to make a heart). All the cakes are relatively easy to make while looking very elegant. This is a great book for beginner and intermediate cake decorators alike. I got the book from library first and then I realised I must own it. The ISBN: 0442282079 (unknown binder) version is the hardcover. So if you are looking for hardcover you can buy this while it's still cheap.
