The Magic That Made Us Slaves

Before man came into the belief that there was one supreme creator, the people of this earth believed in gods. From the ancient Greeks and Romans, to the Incas of South America, people worshipped idols and beings who they believed were almighty. The reality is that these gods were created and maintained by man himself. Mans greed for control and power blinded him from the fact that others were his equals, and to feed this lust he used magic and trickery to shock the masses into believing they were great. This, in turn led to the slavery and persecution of thousands of people, who were made to build temples and palaces for their so called Gods. The reality was that they were built for the so called saints of the gods ,who lived there as they claimed to be the most loyal servants to the idolic beings created in their image, through trickery, something that modern day science would immediately dismiss. How was it that men came to be enslaved? Was it because they believed they were serving a purpose, or were they persuaded that they would have something greater in the next life. We do have accounts from ancient civilisations, but there is much that was destroyed in the events that banished them from the face of the earth. This story goes back to a time where gods were not worshipped and embarks on how their existence may have come about.
