Great little book

Our twin daughters were not even 3 when we got them this book. I really like the artwork, and it has a lot of metallic printing in it too which the youngsters really are drawn to. It has quite a bit of story to it which is nice, the girls really got into it, the suspense of what was going to happen as the porridge just kept spilling and spilling. This book will also make a nice beginning reader for when the girls get to that age, we like the Usborne First Reading books and have started to collect them for the girls. This was the first Usborne First Reading book we bought and it was the reason we started collecting them, very high quality little hard cover book, you'll like that, even has a little ribbon for marking where you are in the book, and these books are so inexpensive for what you are getting too. Definitely recommend this one, have not seen other incarnations of this classic folk tale, but I like this one and so do our girls.
