Fast paced action and interesting plot

In a very short time span, Maeve's mother dies; she discovers that her father is alive and that she has a twin sister. In fact, the very reason her father contacts her is because he wants her to impersonate the twin sister who has disappeared. It turns out that meg is so afraid of her husband-to-be that she ran away before her engagement party. Now Maeve has to act out her role.Maeve is hopelessly attracted to her sister's betrothed and before long, she finds herself in-love with the man. Hampton himself is just as attracted to the new, improved Meg and cannot understand his change of heart, or her change of character! The story is very well written with a few twists that will surprise you even if they are a little too wide off the mark. Nadine Miller captures her readers early on and never loosens her grip.

It's really four and a half starts

Nadine Miller's book is an absolute treasure. It's a story about Maeve, a lonely woman whose beloved mother has just passed away, leaving her a home, but no money to live on. She's shocked to discover that she also has a rich squire father and a twin sister she never knew existed. Her dispicable father takes advantage of her state and offers to pay her to impersonate her long lost twin, who has run away at the prospect of marrying a rakish earl. Quickly Maeve finds out that her earl isn't the horrid boar she thought him to be, and begins to regret both her deceptions and her developing feelings.A sweet, funny romance with a satisfying ending.

This Author Always Delivers Great Regencies!

I read this in one sitting and absolutely loved it. Of course, I always love Ms. Miller's books! I think it is because her hero and heroine have such unique personalities and dreams. Maeve is definitely different from other Regency misses, but that is what makes her story so wonderful. Don't miss this book.

A Regency Frolic You Can't Put Down!

Maeve and Theo will make you adore them. Barrington will disgust and exasperate you, but you won't want to miss a single moment of reading this delightful story. Though this is not a time travel, Nadine's skillful writing whisks you back to 1814, where you live and breathe the times, the wonderful people and stifling mores of England's infamous Ton. Listen carefully, and you can even hear the beautiful music played on the pianoforte by the heroine, Maeve. 'Tis Regency fiction at its best. Lee Emory
