The Louds Move In!

The art and story in this book is wonderful. I loved it as an adult and I know children will find it just as fun. The characters are some you will find in any neighborhood.

Laugh out loud with The Louds!

I hail all children's books that parents can enjoy as much as their children! So I scream "hooray" for The Louds! Three residents of Earmuffle Avenue (are you laughing yet?) get an ear-piercing wake-up call when The Louds move in. Miss Shushermush, Mr. Pitterpatter and Ms. Meekerton can't attend to their quiet ways when The Louds are around. Children will love the repetitive banter of The Loud Family, "for pete's sake." Each Loud speaks with a distinct voice and Baby Loud is always doing something unpleasantly hilarious. When the Louds go on vacation, their quiet neighbors slowly realize that they miss the boisterous family, and the resulting reunion ends the book with a satisfying...well, you'll just have to read it. Amidst all the fun, there are a few lessons being taught. Firstly, it's OK to be who you are. And next, it's fun being friends with someone different than yourself. They'll give you a new perspective on life. Of course, the talented Crimi conveys this through a delightful story, not via a lecture. Moreover, the tale is equally appealing to girls and boys. This is a book my child asks to read again and again and I'm always happy to oblige.

The Perfect Picture Book...my favorite gift for slightly loud friends and family

This is the perfect picture book: funny and satisfying, with well-chosen, extra delicious words. I bought it for a fun, full-of-life family. They're not LOUD but they think of themselves as loud. Every family thinks of themselves as loud, right? Both quiet and loud are celebrated in this book.
