An Absolutely Beautiful and Tender Story ...with a captivating plot. It is an Emotional wartime tale of love, and compassion, forgiveness and hope. It is a Story of Friendship.. that two women forge during the war, each dealing with their own personal problems... a friendship and a bond that lasts them a lifetime. Through their friendship it will have an effect and change the course of history that will affect both their family's history forever. Present: After Martha's father dies.... her and her sister find on his computer a file with letters addressed to "Catkins" and the key to a Beach Hut in England..in the English seaside town of "Wells- Next- The - Sea". Martha travels to England to try to piece together all she could about her fathers past and this secret person " Catkins" ! In doing so...she develops friendships and a better, more closer Relationship with her only daughter , that attends college in Cambridge...and she finds out the whole true story of her Father and their Familys Secret that no one ever knew !!. They say you know a book is good..when.....well after your done reading it...it still pops back into your mind..in bits and pieces !! This is one of those stories !! Beautifully written, with much detail to the time period...wonderfully written characters and the situations they all encountered, truly Amazing and mesmerizing, bringing past and present together !! I have nothing but praise for this Author !! Would love to read ..anything else by her !! LOVED, LOVED, THIS BOOK !! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
