Born in 1945, Katsuya Izumikawa has studied Budō since his childhood and is the inheritor of his father's Karate-do that has been passed down directly from Seiko Higa. In addition, Katsuya Izumikawa was also a disciple of Keisetsu Yoshimaru of Sagawa-ha Daitō-ryū Aikijujtusu.
