On Halloween night, a very mysterious old oak tree begins a seemingly impossible trek across the countryside in search of a predestined location. The phenomenon causes one of two witnesses, Sheriff Jake Burton, to question his sanity, so he calls a psychiatrist, Dr. Yu Wu Yao, to discuss his encounter.
