An American boy and a British girl are in a car accident that leaves them stranded in a flooding wadi. They are rescued by a camel caravan of Bedouinis on the way across a vast desert to their village in the mysterious Empty Quarter. A Bedu boy befriends them and joins in the search for the lost city. The three young people meet up with, and outwit, a band of terrorists trying to overthrow the government of Oman.
