A new take on the Lord of the Rings

Jane Chance's critical work gives voice to many issues raised in Tolkein's Lord of the Rings that I had simply never considered before. I found that the book to be an extremely stimulating read. While the dedicated Tolkein fanatic (like myself) may find several small factual errors in Chance's text, these do not detract from the original perspectives offered therein.
