An elegant, original, entertaining, and highly recommended for young readers

Long before she became the Queen of England, Princess Victoria rode out in an open coach with her mother. Around her neck she proudly wore her new silk scarf which was long, white, and embroidered with her initial. While she is riding, a mischievous breeze tugged at the scarf, uncoiled it from her neck, and then lifted it into the air. The young princess was to grow up, become queen, and rule her people for many years before she would see her scarf again. So deftly written by Maxine Trottier and so elegantly illustrated by David Craig, The Long White Scarf is the story of what happened to that scarf, how long it floated on the breeze, and the succession of owners it had until time and chance brought it back to its original owner who sat upon England's throne. An elegant, original, entertaining, and highly recommended for young readers, The Long White Scarf would make a popular addition to any school, family, or community library picturebook collection.
