The history of the Wheat/Whitlow Ranch is the story of my life. My heritage is woven with the stories of how the ranch evolved, and the lineages of my people all played a part in the ranch's creation. I have lived on the ranch all my life. I will attempt to tell you a little bit about how my family came to be in this area and how the ranch developed. Livestock and timber have been the mainstay of my family since the beginning and this ranch has a rich history in both. The stories have been handed down or experienced by me and I hope to show you what it has been like living in the Eel River country. Some are funny, some are sad, and about all offer insight as to how it was in the past.
