The Long and Short of It: Story Collection

The Long and Short of It is a collection of stories that have been inspired by and are based in three cities that are close to my heart. These stories follow the lives of different Nigerian women and the different challenges and situations they find themselves faced with. The 'heroines' in these stories are not your typical girl-next-door types. They are eccentric, flawed, funny, opinionated, brave, brilliant, silly, manipulative, and sometimes out-right crazy. I think that in a lot of ways, they reflect the different 'faces' I have been required to wear, from growing up in a patriarchal society, to venturing into what is deemed a man's world - Engineering, and I hope that I have succeeded in learning a thing or two along the way. I hope my readers enjoy reading these stories as much as I've enjoyed writing them. I hope that they can get to relate with the stories, and that if they're like me, and find themselves seeming to always be packing up their lives and moving, leaving little bits of themselves everywhere, that they'll remember: Not All Who Wander Are Lost.
