The Lizards' Tale

This a whimsical tale written by an African American living in West Africa. It takes place on a sunny day in Ghana, when the Oppong lizard family met the Asare lizard family on the road. The Oppongs had just moved out of their former home in Auntie Mariama's house and had set off in search of a new place to live. They told the Asares a hair-raising tale of what life for a lizard was like in that woman's house. It was terrible! They could not live there a minute longer! The Asares were on their way to live in that same house and were shocked to hear the Oppongs' tale of woe. Oh dear! Will the Asares choose to go to Auntie Mariama's house as they had planned?
