One our top ten books of the year.

Mitchell Gibson was Chief Resident in Psychiatry at a large inner city medical center when he began his journey, expanding his consciousness using meditation. Gibson takes us along on his journey, where we meet a being who calls himself Djehuti. Being a psychiatrist, Gibson does more than a little wavering before accepting that he is indeed speaking with an actual entity. Djehuti reveals much information to Gibson, and to us, about the formation of the soul and the causes of mental illness. In fact, his work with Gibson and his patients was spellbinding and it kept me reading late into the night. I found the book to be both fascinating and chilling. So much rang in my heart as true that I pondered the lessons of the book for weeks. During my normal work day, some piece of the book would pop up in my mind and I'd have to stop and absorb it before moving on. I have since purchased several of his cds, each of which is powerful and unique. They are available on the Tybro website at [...] . This is not your everyday spiritual awakening story. There is something more, so much more, to this book. I highly recommend it, particularly if you are looking for an engrossing story that will take you to a new understanding of The Living Soul.

An utterly fascinating read

I had heard a short radio interview of Dr. Gibson, so I was slightly prepared for his book, yet I was hardly prepared for the protagonist Djehuti, a mysterious being of light. At one level the story is about Dr. Gibson's first cautious encounter with Djehuti that blossoms as Djehuti becomes his teacher. The subject? The nature of the human soul.Breathtaking stuff, this. After Djehuti explains to Dr. Mitchell the true nature of Quasars, I was reminded of an exchange in one of C. S. Lewis's Narnia series. In this book -- sorry, I can't remenber which, the young hero meets and talks with a star. (The astronomical kind.) Our young hero thought stars were made of hot gas and were millions of miles away. Aslan, the Christ figure, told him that "That's what stars are made of, not what they are."So, the concepts weren't totally foreign to me, yet in toto Dr. Gibson's new reality is nearly orthogonal to mine. Ultimately this is why I gave the book four stars and not five. There simply is no way to verify this collection of astounding assertions. But, keep an open mind and you will find it enthralling.
