Written by Diane Dupuy, founder of the Famous PEOPLE Players, a professional theatre company comprising people who are developmentally challenged, this hilarious story will touch the hearts of children, parents and educators alike.Like the special people in Diane's theatre company, the Little Girl from Narrow village must face the trials and tribulations of growing up different from all the other narrow children. The Little Girl looks the same as other children, but...she farts butterflies As she grows up, her butterflies get bigger and bigger. Soon she faces the upsetting reality that no one in the narrow village will accept her. That's because the people who live in the narrow village, sandwiched between two tall, dark mountains, are very narrow-minded. The Little Girl's aunts and uncles reject her. The old, narrow lady in the park tells her parents she doesn't fit in. Even the school children make fun of the Little Girl who farts butterflies. Then, one day, something very magical happens that will effect everyone who lives in Narrow. This is a guaranteed best-seller with important lessons about the challenges in life. In future Little Girl Who... stories, readers will meet courageous characters who face obstacles, reach inside their souls and discover their gifts.
if you have a child who is 3-6 BUY this book. the message is: it's perfectly fine, if not fabulous, to be different. It is the message that everyone needs to hear. It is a great message for boys and girls alike and the book is funny and every little kid loves to hear an adult read the word "fart". It's so much better than Walter the Farting Dog and you still get the fart funny factor. It's just that the message here is about self assurance and feeling good about who you are/or trying to make others feel good about who they are.

This story is extremely amusing and humourous! The little girl in the story is born into a narrow valley surrounded by narrow mountains, with a population of people (of course)that are very narrow-minded! The hospital staff finds this little girl is very different- she flatulates butterflies. Her parents don't want everyone to know how different their little girl is, so when she goes off to school and a little boy expresses his feelings to her- she farts the hugest butterfly that flies up and pushes the mountains apart- and every one is relieved and can now live wide and open. I laughed so much when I read this story, I almost cried!! My children absolutely love hearing it over and over and over again!
