Dareth Hornbow is content to just be a 15 year old growing up in the wild lands of northern Huronis, the son of a healer and a ranger. While the Eldar on longer walk in the Western World, their servants, the giant jeweled eagles of the great rift mountains remain - although to many they are only a legend. It is when he comes face to face with these servants of the mystical race of Eldar that his own unique future begins to unfold, and the future of the Western World hangs in the balance.
