By the summer of 1415, Lady Thomasina Blackwell's brother had been missing for over a year, but she is determined to find him, even if it means risking certain death to impersonate him and travel with King Henry V's army down to France. As soon as England lands in the harbor of Harfleur though, things do not go according to plan. Thomasina gets caught in a storm with a French knight and taken to their stronghold in Rouen. Once she's released, the English camp is not happy to have her back, and her betrothed does not support her being here, insisting her brother must be dead after all this time. Thomasina has never taken no for an answer though and is able to enlist help from unlikely sources when she crosses paths with a certain French knight once more. Allegiances blur and betrothals get messy the longer the English stay in France. Henry V can't return home to winter over without striking France at least once, and Agincourt looks like his best bet at victory, despite being heavily outnumbered. As autumn picks up, the English and French finally come to blows, and Thomasina is no longer sure where she or her sword belongs. Will she survive the battle that threatens to claim the land and people she's come to love as her own, or will one more generation of Blackwells fall to this seemingly unending war?
