There are many valuable lessons in this story. All the adults and most of the young people in the story treat each other with respect. Some of the young people set off to do something that isn't very respectful, but they learn. Grandpa J.D. is the storyteller in this book. Grandpa J.D. and his family carry on the tradition of story time. This book is a nice book to be shared during story time, as well as entertaining for the individual reader.
