Move over Harry Potter ....... Lucinda's Coming to Town

I think this book is must read for children ages 7 through 13 or any age because it allows the reader to escape into a world of fantasy. The book opens the reader up to the world of magic and excitement. If you are a lover of nature and the great outdoors, it gives you the opportunity to experience it as you read. The book reminded me of the cartoon show The Gnomes that was on television during the late 1980's and early 1990's. I liked the show and thought it was enteretaining as well as wholesome. The say good things come in small packages, well Lucinda, the main character in the story has enough zest and fiest to make you take note. She keeps you on your toes and makes you laugh as you follow her in the story. I enjoyed going with her and her friends on her different adventures and I'm sure you will too. One thing I did like about the story was the sprinkling of poetry through the story and how Lucinda would find the opportune moment to do some reciting. The book is refreshing and full fun, humor and excitement, not to mention magic. I think both children and adults can and will appreciate this new read. If you like the Harry Potter series, then I think you will like The Light of Lucinda, it's just another way to take you on a magical adventure through nature. I hope the author would consider writing more stories about Lucinda and bringing readers a new series of magic and adventure. I reccomend that parents and adults buy the book and give it to a child so they can experience some magic and adventure to help them escape the madness of the real world. Get the book for a child, but take a peek and read it yourself. I'm sure you will like it, I did.
