Long before the rise of heroes and the clash of armies, before the name Malagar was whispered in fear, there was only a man-a scholar, a seeker of truth. He was not born into darkness, nor was he shaped by cruelty. Instead, it was his hunger for knowledge, his desire to unravel the mysteries of magic itself, that set him upon a path from which there was no return.
In the ancient city of Eldoria, Malagar was once a promising mage, revered for his intellect and potential. But he was never satisfied. He looked upon the world and saw its limitations, its fragility. He studied the histories of fallen empires, of gods long forgotten, and of powers that slumbered beneath reality itself. It was in his pursuit of truth that he stumbled upon the forbidden texts-the writings of the Abyssal Codex.
The scholars warned him. The council forbade him. But Malagar did not listen.
Night after night, he pored over the words, unraveling secrets lost to time. He discovered incantations that spoke to the void, to the abyss that existed beyond mortal comprehension. And it spoke back. It whispered promises of knowledge beyond the gods, of power that could reshape the very fabric of existence.
And so, Malagar chose.
He broke the sacred seals, uttered the words that had been buried for eons, and in that moment, the Void took notice. The ground beneath Eldoria trembled. The stars above flickered, as if recoiling from the presence now stirring within the world. Shadows stretched unnaturally, and the first abyssal rift was torn open, bleeding corruption into the land.
Malagar stood at the precipice, no longer a mere scholar. He had touched the Void, and it had touched him in return. His body remained, but his soul had become something else-something eternal, something monstrous.
The council of magi tried to stop him, but they were too late. With a single gesture, he cast them into oblivion. The city of Eldoria burned, its people swallowed by the darkness he had unleashed. And as the flames rose, Malagar took his first step onto the path of conquest.
The world would remember that night as the fall of Eldoria.
But Malagar would remember it as the moment he became something greater.
Something inevitable.
The Dark Conqueror had been born.
