The Light Giver Stories Workbook: Activities and Lessons for Social Emotional Learning.
Are you worried about the levels of anxiety, depression, bullying and alarming suicide rates for children and teens? Do you wish you had an easy-to-use tool to better prepare your children or students for the emotional challenges they will face?
Parents and teachers want the children they care for to be happy and emotionally healthy, but finding the time and the resources to address these needs is not always easy. Until now.
The Light Giver Stories Workbook: Activities and Lessons for Social Emotional Learning is a collection of 22 children's lessons, activities and discussions that promote Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills in children. Each lesson, which only takes about fifteen minutes of your time, correlates with the stories found in The Light Giver and Other Stories to Raise Emotionally Healthy Children.
While the stories and workbook complement each other, you can use the lessons in this book without having read the stories first. These lessons address core issues that children face regularly, such as coping with fear, criticism and disappointment. Other lessons teach children to recognize their gifts and develop patience, kindness, honesty and other tenets of good character.
The lessons were designed to be extremely simple yet effective, and can be used by parents, grandparents, professional educators and caregivers. These stories are enjoyable to read, and the benefits and insights they offer your children or students are immeasurable.
