I wrote these poems between the ages of 18 and 21, formative years. Poetry helped me to both clarify and distance myself from the intensity of my feelings, as I struggling with Pain, Love, and Faith while keeping a sense of humor, Whimsy.
I often say if you can look back at the darkest moments in your life and find and focus on at least one good thing, then it is like finding a diamond in a big stinking pile of cow manure. These poems are some of these diamonds in my life.
