The Lies He Told Me is two short stories about young women who find themselves in seemingly perfect relationships with manipulating guys who have hidden secrets and agendas.

Jamaica is a college freshman who believes she has met the love of her life in Derrick, the gorgeously handsome freshman who just so happens to share similar interests with her. After the two of them hit it off, Jamaica decides that she no longer wants to only be friends with Derrick; she wants him to be her boyfriend. It is when she and Derrick become a couple that his true colors, and identity, come to the surface.

Then, there is Jennifer. Jennifer is a quiet girl who is in love with Bradley Jennings, the star quarterback of her high school football team. Jennifer thinks that Brad is in love with her too; until she discovers the truth behind his reasoning for dating her comes to light and Jennifer finds herself intertwined in a twisted web of lies, deceit, that will eventually lead to murder.
