Its most famous part is the Ars Goetia, which presents a list of seventy-two spirits, with their names, titles, powers, appearances, and the ritual means by which the magician should summon them and compel them to obey. The book describes seals, instruments, magic circles, invocations, and ceremonial procedures connected with this practice.
