My family and I absolutely loved the book, the story was interesting and the artwork fit the story so well and was beautiful to look at, would recommand this book to anyone.

Terrific for ALL ages

This a terrific story for everyone. The story is well written, and the art work is magnificent. We've used it for read alouds and gifts and we're not even from Wisconsin!

The Legend of Wisconsin

My twin daughters (9 years old) and I LOVED this book. It is an interesting well told legend which I think is important to keep alive as we start passing along some American history to our children. Also the illustrations are gorgeous. Wonderful colors and textures. The characters (especially the rabbit) are illustrated in this book like no other illustrations I've ever seen before. The expressions are thoughtful yet you can't help smiliing as you look at the big bunny! I think younger kids will like this book as their parents read it to them and then as they get older and start reading themselves they will enjoy it as well.

Amazing and beautiful illustrations!

While this is a very well-written and entertaining book, what really makes it stand out from the crowd are the stunning illustrations. David is fast becoming one of the best illustrators of children's books in the country.

Review of Legend of Wisconsin

This is a truly beautiful and informative book. When it comes to bringing cultural metaphors to life- this artist and author combination cannot be beaten. My children love the stories and the images. It is inspirational and informative. This is a great book for any preschooler or early reader!
