The Legend of the Cursed Cave

This story takes place in the north woods of Wisconsin. Its biggest draw is summer residents from Illinois. There are three towns and three lakes, all intertwined together. The largest is the town of Black Crow, and they're all in Monroe County.
Our main character is Duke Moran. He was named after the famed western actor John Wayne. He's not a huge man but has a rugged outdoor look. He manages to turn the female's heads when he walks through a room. Duke is a Vietnam veteran with three tours over there under his belt. He was also a patrolman for the State Patrol and a homicide detective in Madison, Wisconsin. He has a girlfriend, Jane, whom he's contemplating marriage with.
Duke has been shot and stabbed more in Black Crow than in all his time in the Army and police work in Madison.
A distant relative of Al Capone had been causing problems for law enforcement for years. He ran a vast crime syndicate out of Chicago. Once he passed away, his son Allen took over. Allen built a manufacturing plant outside of Black Crow, and what went on there in the basement was so horrible that it could only be described as inhuman. Body part procurement should be performed in a hospital.
Between investigating the new plant and other crimes being committed, Duke and his buddy Terry search for a mysterious cave. Terry's grandfather disappeared years ago when hunting with a friend. There was proof his grandfather died in a cave. Finding the cave is not that simple. They stumble across the body of an Indian during one search, which leads to an adventure in itself.
The cave they are looking for is supposed to have an Indian curse on it. It's said that people have found it, never to return. Ultimately, Duke and Terry find the cave and get a big surprise.
