FIRST TIME to experience flawed description of book condition

The book was described as one that was in good condition with the presence of a CD. The book arrived in dirty, fair condition with no CD. I realize that there may be books in the warehouse that do have the original CD, but if the CD has been lost, the listing should include that the CD is not present. This is a Halloween season specific book for children. I had never heard of Spookley, but my grandchildren have been exposed on some TV app. I ordered the book to share with them, but I think the value of the book I received is far less than the honest value of the book. I have not read the story with them yet, as I was simply disappointed when I opened the package.

A cute book that re-enforces how important it is that we recognizes the positive differences in each of us. As a parent of a bi-racial child, I used the book to open the discussion of how each of us are different and special in our own way.

One of my favorite books...

I use this book with my class every year. We talk about times when they feel like "square pumpkins." The CD has the book read aloud and the song. My kids sing the song and read the book to younger kids in our school. It's sweet, fun and has a great lesson. So worth the money. I'd love a class set.

Wonderful Book

I actually bought this book before I even had kids. Now that I have a son, every October we read it every day to celebrate the month of Halloween. I even bought the plush Spookley. This book is one of my favorites.

A Great Read!

This book uses rhyming to create excellent tempo and rhythm. My 2 year old memorized it word for word and could "read" along turning each page appropriately. The story is good and illustrations captivating. Of all his books this is still my favorite to read and he enjoys still even 2 years later.
