When teenager Lisa Samms comes to visit the grandparents she barely knows in an isolated southwestern town it puts her life in peril. Arriving on Founder's Day weekend she finds herself thrown into the legend of the valley. The massacre of an Indian village by a group of gypsies was how the town began, but not before being cursed by a Medicine Man.
As a mysterious fog descends upon the valley, strange things begin to happen. Phones, cars, electricity all lose power. Then people start dying when the ghostly Spirit Riders arrive.
A spooky tale of a teenager who's family tree may answer some of the questions she has wondered about as she not only gets to know her grandparents and granny, but also the sheriff who once loved her mother and his nephew, who becomes her shoulder to lean upon as danger approaches.
