Exciting and Truly a Revolution

This is one of the most exciting books that I have read as an educator. I believe that the book is right on target and that education needs to rise to the occasion. We are still teaching as though we are in the 19th century in many cases and we are in the technology age. Even though many of the methods mentioned in the book are not elaborated upon and the how to's are not there, the mere mention that these ideas and methods are out there and you know who is doing them and some research has been done is a starting point for change in any school. The concepts presented are innovative and exciting. How could a teacher or school not change when reading about the real world and what our students need to know to be successful in the 21st century? I truly believe that the education world is one of the last frontiers to change.

A new world beckons

When the World grasps the combined teachings of Gordon Dryden and Jeannette Vos in the Learning Revolution, we will move onto a new plane. Our mental and spiritual growth will develop to an unheard of level, our understandings of other human diversities will develop relationships on a level hitherto unknown. Develop your new-born before birth. Understand the wayward child. Hugely develop your mind and your learning abilities. Help to guide your progeny to a brighter future. Understand your learning abilities and disabilities. Help mentally disadvantaged children. Be a part of the Learning revolution. The authors must be recommended for opening up new frontiers of human development. Read it and grow - ignore it and risk slipping behind the new human being.

Finally a readable academic book about learning!

In designing and building an online high school, I have read many books about education and learning. This is one of two (The other is the Net Generation by Don Tapscott) that I find myself constantly referring back to for validation and ideas. I frequently recommend it to people who are trying to understand why we believe that an online high school is needed by many independent learners. It is a great book by any metric. It is readable, informative and comprehensive. I am looking forward to getting a copy of the new edition.

The book is tailored to each individuals reading pleasure and learning pleasure. An excellent book for all learners and learners who are teachers.

This is the book for you. This book teaches you how to get 80% of the material from a full size text book in under an hour. This book starts with one page (large type) instructions on "How to read this book in one tenth the time". Well presented practical instruction gets you going straight away. You can read all that technical stuff and still have time for that novel! (And, btw its also great if you want to teach others! )
