Delightful read

Ms. Avery is a delightful author. The humor she injects into her writing of everyday life is a refreshing change. Her characters are easy to relate to. I would definitely recommend this book.

THERE IS CERTAINLY MORE THAN THE BACK COVER!

The pictured hombre fits the description. Good going guys! First we run into Bonnie and Dickie Calhan spying? on the new sheriff. Dickie is determined to tell the sheriff about the bank robbers. [grin, what an exchange between brother, 8 and sister 11]. Molly, 31, has been a widow for four years. And has shown no interest in remarrying. She has a store to run and children to raise. But she doesn't see any reason to prejudge a man because of his scandalous past. The ladies gathered in Calhan's General Store to discuss the new sheriff and why he was a divorced man. We meet Coreyanne Campbell, the widow Thelma Thompson, Emmy Lou Trainer and 19 year old Louisa Merton [who turns out to be surprise]. These are some of the members of the Elk City Ladies Society. DeWitt Gavin 33, gains the attention of the men of Elk City when he floors Crazy Mike, a biggg miner who gets drunk a few times a year because his gal left him. Witt, himself, is described as a mountain of a man. And he sure likes candy. Molly floors him by giving him a handful of chocolate creams. Then the candy became his excuse to see Molly although he couldn't allow any interest to grow. His ex did a number on him. Molly decided to take matters into her own hands and began it with a kiss. Oh Boy! It keeps getting better. There is the subtle suggestion of the banker putting the move on Molly and DeWitt already wants to rearrange his features. And don't worry, Crazy Mike does find romance. Definitely recommended --m - thoroughly enjoyable to read.

Good Ole ROMANCE

After reading several heavy romantic suspense titles, I was ready for a "good ole romance". Emphasis being on the romance. This book fit the bill!
