This book gives you the thorough information you need to respond to Mormons seeking to "evangelize" you, to defend yur faith in Jesus Christ, and to witness to them confidently and sincerely. This description may be from another edition of this product.
"Mormonism makes of the Gospel a new law. The grace of God in Jesus Christ needs to be clearly proclaimed," Kaiser says. It's common to see Mormons on door-to-door evangelistic missions. This book prepares Christians to take advantage of any conversation with Mormons by explaining who Mormons are and what they stand for. Readers will learn what differentiates Mormons and Christians as it outlines the roots of the Latter-Day Saints and the life of founder Joseph Smith; provides the Mormon view of salvation, eternal life, and other important faith issues; explains the origins of the "Book of Mormon"; and gives an overview of some various practices and beliefs of Mormons. Other studies in the How to Respond series are: The Cults, Jehovah's Witnesses, Judaism, The Lodge, Muslims, The New Age Movement, and Satanism - Concordia Publishing House
Good Summary
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
Having dealt with Mormons at work, in my family and on the street, this book served as a good summary on the beliefs and practices of this religious sect. I have further researched this in the Mormon's own covenants and found it to be accurate. I recommend it (and the series) for anyone that needs a place to start in learning how to handle encounters with those whose beliefs are different from Christianity.
Oh ye of little minds

The above review was obviously written by a mormon, and one with a very tiny closed up mind. This book is very informational and helpful to those who do not deal with LDS missionaries on a daily basis. I have been a member and for the last 5 years have struggled to get away from their grasp and regain my life. The issues presented in this book will help non-members identify ways to nicely send them away. Not the best- there are better but overall informative and good reading.
