But the Duke has returned, and has sworn that he'll make first his wife suffer before killing her then to see about killing the former child thieves who sent him to hell on earth. Bill tries desperately to protect Winnie from the truth, because he's watched her become one of the more beautiful, charming, desirable, and intelligent woman and would like very much to have a life with her.
