The Last Watch: Fire in the Sky
For a thousand years, Dragon Keep stood unconquered.
Its towering walls guarded the Ancient Gate. Its Riders upheld an oath older than kingdoms. Its dragons watched over a fragile peace purchased with the sacrifice of Aldren Wyrmwood and the First Watch.
That peace is over.
The Ancient Gate has opened.
The First Enemy has returned.
Led by the twelve corrupted Wardens and an army drawn from the darkest age of history, an unstoppable force marches south, determined to reclaim the world it once ruled. As an unnatural winter spreads across the Seven Kingdoms, Dragon Keep becomes the last refuge for thousands-and the final obstacle standing between civilization and annihilation.
Now Kael, newly chosen as Keeper of the Oath, must help lead the Riders through their darkest hour. Beside the legendary Dragon Master Aeric, Commander Elian, Stormclaw, and the ancient dragon Vaelor, he faces impossible choices where every victory demands sacrifice and every loss echoes across the world.
As the greatest siege in history engulfs Dragon Keep, the Riders will discover that stone walls can fall, ancient fortresses can burn, and legends can die...
But an oath kept with honor can outlive them all.
Epic in scope, rich with unforgettable characters, breathtaking aerial battles, political intrigue, and ancient mysteries, The Last Watch is the powerful third installment of The Wyrmwood Chronicles-where heroes are forged in sacrifice, kingdoms stand united for the first time, and the fate of the world hangs on those willing to defend hope when all else has fallen.
Because the greatest fortress was never Dragon Keep.
It was the hearts of those sworn to keep the Watch.
