This is also a tale of love and friendship overcoming all obstacles. It explores the discovery of inner strengths alongside a turbulent encounter with the external world, and the inevitable cycles of nature and life.

The book reexamines the conventions of the fantasy genre and poses philosophical and ethical questions. The author, Gitay Marton, besides running a successful production company, is a painter, musician, and playwright who wrote absurdist plays at a young age. He was accelerated to a master's degree in art at the prestigious Wimbledon School of Art in London and has performed as a multidisciplinary stage artist in Israel and around the world.

The Last Shift of the Wondrous World is his debut novel.
