A wonderful window into life in nature

A month by month narrative about living off the land in the upper Mississippi River area. Each chapter covers activities corresponding to a month: picking mushrooms, fishing for trout then catfish, hunting for deer, digging for ginseng, etc. an easy, fun, quick read
