Why, oh why did Laxton agree to go with his dad on another Great Adventure? The last one had been a disaster. What can you expect camping deep inside a forest searching for Bigfoot? Not Bigfoot, for sure. Only mosquitoes and ticks and other crawly things. Now they were to head off again. Only this time Laxton didn't have a clue as to their destination. Just pick Dad up and drive. Well, he'd made his mind up about one thing. If this new vacation was anything more off-beat than checking out old libraries, he was turning the car around and coming home. No more searching for pirate gold. No more searching for JFK conspirators. And definitely, no more Bigfoot. Dad could pitch a fit and pout, but that is the way it would be. For sure.
