Real Life of Marijuana Dealers

Tony Dokoupil (Jr.) was brave to publish this personal story of his father's involvement in the era of marijuana distribution. He shared his personal journey of being raised in an unconventional village of hippies doing illegal things successfully. The moral of his story is how he took this journey, survived and thrived. For me, it was a very interesting chronology of what was happening underground, in politics and in society while I was enjoying the benefits of partying with friends in that era. As a white middle class female college student smoking grass was a form of rebellion and a "safe" thrill of doing something illegal. Now that I read The Last Pirate, I will be looking for books on parallel topics - stories of the thousands of people incarcerated for simple possession to distribution; and how the legalization of cannabis has impacted social behavior and specifically Driving under the influence of drugs (DUID) rate. We try to reduce Drunk Driving, what about DUID?
