The first novel I ever wanted to read with a highlighter

I saw two ratings of only 2 stars, and assume that neither of the readers have ever lost the love of their lives. The book made me both laugh and cry, and often in the same paragraph. So many of the main character's thoughts, about widowhood, and her silent reaction to other people's comments to her, could have come out of my own head. If you've never lost someone, I am happy for you, but this book may help you better understand the feelings of someone who has. Well worth your time.
