While on a mission in the middle plane, Zachary lived through human history, from the fall of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to the Second World War. He witnesses the impact of the celestial existence on the lives of men and he is caught between a power struggle of he who is god and a great spirit called Fate over control of the middle plain. In the end, the Great Spirit trumps and forces all angels of the celestial order to return to the higher plain, never to return. On his return to the higher plane, Zachary now has a better understanding of who he is than he did before he lived amongst the humans of the middle plain and his place and purpose in the celestial order.

The higher plane and angel kind are endangered, the imbalance that exit between life and death in the plane would eventually lead to the extinction of angel kind and Zachary's purpose is to create a balance and bring an end to the existing system, the reign of god and the archangels.
