A former soldier of the south, having dedicated his life to chasing down bounties, Jesse takes on a notorious gunslinger, a very dangerous man. Soon after, Jesse, good with a gun, at home on the trail, finds himself unfamiliar with love. Trying to navigate a situation that soon turns his life upside down, Jesse finds that the world around him is evolving into something different, as the ways of the west are vanishing, and men like him are no longer wanted. In order to live the last remaining days of the west, where he belongs, he rides into the black hills, trying his hand at mining for gold. For a little while all goes well, until one day that too changes. Riding the trail once again, he rides to avenge a terrible injustice done to him.
