THE LAST FAIR PLAY MAN - CONCRETE LULLABY - PART V

After ten years behind bars, Sam Mackie is finally free. The Pit King is older now, scarred by everything he has seen and determined to leave the fighting world behind him, but when his seventeen-year-old son becomes fascinated by his father's past and is drawn into the underground fight scene, Sam is forced to confront the world he thought he had escaped.

Then Billy comes back into his life.

An old travelling man with a gold tooth, a weathered face and a reputation that goes back further than most men can remember. Billy is one of the last of the old-school Fair Play Men, the men who settled disputes, kept fights honest and earned respect without ever asking for it.

Billy once saved Sam's life in prison, now Sam needs Sam's help again.

A new generation is being pulled into the fighting pit, and behind it stands Vann, a man prepared to use anyone to keep the underground fighting world alive.

Sam knows where that road leads. He has already walked it and this time, he isn't fighting for money, glory or revenge.

He's fighting to make sure his son doesn't become the man he once was.
