The Large Family: A Blessing and a Challenge

I received this book for my birthday and, having a large family myself, have found this book encouraging, enlightening and inspriational. It has encouraged me by giving concrete suggestions regarding day-to-day living, it has enlightened me in the psychology that is inherent to larger vs. smaller families (such as micro-management of fewer children vs. delegation and administration of more children in a family) that has been invaluable in today's world where everyone from the government down to the individual think that you're supposed to drop your life to sit and "watch/personally supervise" your children AT ALL TIMES lest you be a "bad/negligent parent". Because of this book I have found that my family is Normal, and I am, after all, a good mother. Wonderful book. Not meant to be a novel, but it is not a heavy read. Homeschoolers will love it!!
